T Visa is a special type of visa in the United States designed for victims of human trafficking. It was created to protect survivors and support their recovery while helping authorities prosecute offenders. This visa grants the right to legally reside in the U.S., work, and eventually apply for permanent residency.
The T Visa offers victims of human trafficking a chance to start a new life, but the process of obtaining it requires careful preparation. I will be your essential ally on this journey, providing professional support, an evaluation, and the confidence you need.
Who is eligible for a T Visa?
To qualify for a T Visa, the applicant must:
Be a victim of human trafficking—forced labor, sexual exploitation, or other forms of coercive actions.
Be present in the U.S. as a result of human trafficking—either brought into the country or found here due to exploitation.
Cooperate with authorities in the investigation of the case, except in situations where it is not possible due to psychological reasons.
Demonstrate the likelihood of severe harm if required to return to their home country.
What issues can I help identify?
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including flashbacks, anxiety, and nightmares.
- Depression, leading to feelings of hopelessness and social isolation.
- Shame and guilt, which prevent them from openly discussing their experiences.
Most importantly, I will help them understand that they are not to blame for what happened and support them in working toward emotional recovery.
